1.

In the forest where I dwell, there are pine trees that obscure

my vision of the ceiling as it rolls across the floor

of worlds where other people have their props and feel secure.

2.

As a youth I used to dream of a city in the clouds,

where the lion and the lamb were always to be found

just frolicking together on the petal-spotted ground.

3.

I perceive that perfection's an illusory estate.

I must satiate my hunger with the problems on my plate,

untroubled by the problems my solutions will create.

4.

I shall harness for the journey Anxiety, my horse;

without him, I'd be static and deprived of any force;

unharnessed, he would take me on a terrifying course.

5.

I am seated in the saddle, and my hands are in control.

The beauty of the journey, not a mirage of the goal,

shall stimulate my attitude and irrigate my soul.

6.

In the garden where I dwell, there are flowers out in bloom;

and I'll pull up all the nettles to give them much more room.

These flowers will survive me I shall happily assume.
